Muuido Island

MUUIDO ISLAND

Muuido Island was absolutely fantastic!!! It is only about an hour west of Seoul just 20 minutes from Incheon International Airport. Katie went a few weeks ago when she first got to Seoul so we decided to plan another trip for us SMOE (Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education) people. About 20 of us went and it was my favorite weekend in Korea so far. Although I LOVE Seoul and the city atmosphere, it was just nice to be in a relaxing environment without neon lights shining everywhere. We basically just sat around, hiked, played soccer, ate fresh seafood, walked out into the Yellow Sea, and hung out by the campfire. We stayed in huts right on the beach and it was so cool to wake up to the Yellow Sea outside your door. This island was weirdbecause for most of the day the tide goes out so you can walk about a mile into the Yellow Sea and look at all the sea animals etc....it was a very good way to end our crazy first month in Korea!!
